A client recently said of O’Brien, “Maureen was able to do what other facilitators and speakers have not been able to do in the past... she moved us from talking about what we were going to do to GETTING IT DONE!”
Maureen O'Brien is the CEO and founder of O'Brien & Son Inc, a company that facilitates profound outcomes for companies nationally and internationally. O’Brien partners with organizations to determine intentions of conferences, and then drives that intention to outcome. Part of the work O’Brien includes in content is motivational. That is not the entirety of her skill set. As an extraordinary listener, O'Brien is able to develop products for corporate conferences tying continuity throughout the entire product content. O’Brien has motivated and inspired hundreds of audiences through her real life stories and down to earth message. O'Brien is not a speaker who has "read about" leadership and effectiveness. She is a small business sales coach who is living the message on a daily basis. O'Brien is also the owner and founder of O'Brien & Son, Inc., an exterior remodeling company outside of Chicago, which she founded in 1986 at the birth of her first son. Hence the name, O'Brien & Son, Inc. O'Brien "practices what she preaches" through lived experience everyday. She is a BUSINESS OWNER AND EXPERT WHO HAPPENS TO SPEAK.
As the mother of four children, O'Brien understands the importance of using time effectively to market your product and/or yourself. She clearly understands work/life balance, which is so critical to success. O'Brien often uses her skills as a professional clown to bring humor to her practical business and family concerns. Her programs promise to be enthusiastic and entertaining, as well as educational.
With close to 20 years experience as a motivational speaker, facilitator, author, meeting partner and coach, O'Brien's clients have included organizations like the Mayo Medical Center, IBM in Rochester, MN, where she was dubbed "The Erma Bombeck of IBM," John Deere International, and the American Cancer Society. O’Brien was recently named the HUMANITARIAN OF THE YEAR for the state of Illinois by the National Speakers Association and was named a Sales Growth Guru by the Women’s Leadership Exchange.
